The Strada dei Vini di Valtellina, or Valtellina Wine Trail, leads through the production zones of the great DOC and DOCG red wines of the Valtellina: Maroggia, Sassella, Grumello, Inferno and Valgella. The Via dei Terrazzamenti, or Terraces Trail, which runs along the slopes of the Rhaetian Alps side of the valley, also links the various wine-growing areas. These itineraries are the ideal way of meeting the producers of Nebbiolo delle Alpi wine, along a route of 67 km that offers terraced vineyards, ancient hamlets and golden sunsets with the mountain peaks as panoramic backdrop.
