Self check in and FAQ

How do I get to Domus Cavour?

We are in the heart of Tirano’s old centre on the corner of Piazza Cavour, the square where the town hall is located. We are 600m from the railway station and easily accessible from Milan, Lake Como and Switzerland.

What are the nearest airports?

Bergamo Orio al Serio, Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa.

Where can I park?

Public parking is available on piazza Cavour and in the vicinity.

Is breakfast available?

Yes, continental breakfast is available as an option, to be requested when booking and/or at check-in as the guest prefers.

Where is the breakfast room?

It is on the ground floor at the Bistronomie Cavour. It can be accessed directly from rooms without going outside, through the door near the lift on the ground floor.

Is there an Internet connection?

Yes, there is free wifi Internet throughout the premises.

Do you have rooms with disabled access?

Yes, rooms 10 and 11 are suitable for disabled guests.

Do you have rooms with a balcony?

Yes, rooms 25 and 32 have a small balcony. Rooms 15 and 16 also have direct outdoor access although they do not have a private balcony.

Can I bring pets?

No, pets are not allowed in rooms. We have decided to safeguard the health of the ever-increasing number of people who are allergic to animals, who otherwise would not be able to stay with us with peace of mind, since the complete elimination of cat and dog allergens from indoor locations is impossible.

Do you have rooms for smokers?

No, smoking is forbidden throughout the premises.

Do you have rooms for allergy sufferers?

All our rooms are designed to minimise the risk of allergies, in the choice of flooring materials, furnishings, bathroom products, ventilation system, mattress, topper, pillows and quilts. Anti-mite bedding is also available on request.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 15:00 hrs. Guests are required to checkout by 11:00 hrs.

When is reception open for in-person check-in?

Reception is open for check-in from 15:00 to 18:00 hrs.

Is there a self check-in service?

Yes, when reception is closed guests can always log on and check in and out themselves from their smartphones at any time.

How does self check-in and check-out work?

  1. A few days before your arrival, you will receive an email inviting you to check in online. We advise you always to keep an eye on your spam folder.
  2. Follow the link and enter the data required for the check-in procedure.
    This will enable you to arrive and leave whenever you wish, without having to waste time in reception, and always to use your smartphone as a key.
  3. On completion of the procedure, you will receive an email confirming that you have checked in successfully, with full instructions for accessing your room and a contact number for use if you have any difficulty.
  4. You will also receive a code
  5. Download the Flexipass app onto your smartphone.
  6. Once you arrive at Domus all you have to do is open the app, enter the code you received when you completed the online check-in, click “check-in” and approach your smartphone to the card reader, just as you would with a key card, to open the front door, activate the lift and access your room.
  7. Throughout your stay you can continue to use your smartphone, with the app open, to come in through the front door, use the lift, enter your room and access the Bistronomie Cavour restaurant. You will also find 2 magnetic key cards in your room.
  8. When you check out, you only have to place the 2 magnetic key cards in the container provided in your room, click “check out” on the Flexipass app and vacate your room.

What do I do if my phone battery is flat when I arrive?

You can get in through the front door using the number keypad, the code for which you will receive when you complete the online check-in procedure, and which we advise you to make a note of. Once inside, you will find power sockets, USB docks and chargers for the main makes of smartphone and the wifi password both in the foyer and in the lounge on the first floor, for you to charge your phone.
